The Apple Peddler

Looking for a place to stop for food in Madras? When you see The Apple Peddler, keep driving.

Like a Shari's or Denny's, The Apple Peddler is open 24 hours, and serves basic American food. Steaks, burgers, pies, and breakfast all day. Bill had a veggie burger, and I went for an old favorite, chicken fried steak and eggs. All the food was quite nearly tasteless. Only salt made it edible at all. Despite a tempting menu, we decided that dessert would only mean more disappointment.
